My name is Nathan and I am a photographer based in Chicago.

 

Originally from the east cost, I have been an artist my whole life. First as a musician and theatre artist, then as a comic book writer, and now as a wedding and portrait photographer. I like photography because it is about slowing down and taking the time to pay attention and record the moment. To me, it's what life is all about.

 

My goal with every photograph I take is to capture a moment so sincere that you want to print it out and put it on your wall as a reminder of something special.

 

I shoot about 2/3 film and 1/3 digital. Even when I shoot digital, I try to edit in all the richness and grain that comes with film.

 

My work is a mix of documentary and editorial. Documentary for the candids and editorial when posing is important to capture a big moment.

I am available for work across Chicago. I am also open to traveling to other cities in the midwest, New York City and the Washington DC area.
